In mid-July, the Deep Maps Project distributed their second round of questionnaires  to determine what stakeholders value about the coast/sea and to establish how they learn and access information about the marine environment. It is hoped that local and governmental organisations will draw on our findings to inform decisions that determine the long-term future of this unique coastline. The results are currently being collated and analysed by our research assistant Breda so we will post a discussion on the results very soon.

We would like to say a big thank you to the members of the public who participated in our third questionnaire in the West Cork coastal area. We would especially like to thank the local post offices, tourist offices and heritage centres who helped in promoting them in Clonakilty, Skibbereen, Bantry, Castletownbere and Beara Island.

If you would like to know more about our previous surveys, you can find information on our Homepage, and also a brief discussion on our previous results on our  blog.
